Steiner Sports Auctioning Babe Ruth Signed Bat

An original,  high grade autographed Babe Ruth model bat is now available as part of the “Yankees Legends Auction” at Steiner Sports. The brown bat, a promotional model circa 1933, was autographed by Ruth with a steel-tipped pen between the trademark and the branded signature. It has been authenticated by James Spence Authentication as one of the highest-rated Ruth pieces ever. High bid on the bat was at $17,700 as of late Wednesday night. Bidding closes on April 4. Yankee Season Ticket Holder Files $5 Million Class-Action Lawsuit

October 30th, 2009

Steiner Sports is facing a lawsuit from a New York Yankees season ticket holder from New Jersey, claiming the stadium seats he bought for $2,000 – the seats he sat in for 23 years – were not the original seats as promised. John Lefkus claims the seats had been repainted and the armrests were replaced. Lefkus filed a $5 million class-action lawsuit against Steiner and the Yankees on behalf of all Yankees fans who purchased seats.
