ABOUT PARAGON AUCTIONS

NO BUYER’S PREMIUMS – NOW YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO BID
Please let me introduce myself. My name is Keith Vari and have been in the Sports Auction business for the last 10 Years working for two major auction houses. I started ParagonAuctions.com, LLC in August 2010 with the objective to put more money in the consignors pocket and less in the auction houses pocket.

I have always believed that the consignor is the most important person in the industry as without you we would have nothing to auction. With this in mind I started Paragon Auction with the idea of charging consignors a simple flat fee’s weather their item was $500 or $1,000,000 dollars . This means if you were to take a full page ad at a cost of $1000 and your item sells for $50,000 you as a consignor would receive $49,000.

We at Paragon Auctions also believe that with the standard auction that clients do indeed figure in the buyers premium. Have you ever placed an item in auction and watched the bidding and see that item sold for $58,750 Price Realized and you receive a check for $42,500 less 15%* sellers fee and the 17.5%* buyers premium.

Odds are the auction house made close to what you made and possibly more. This Buyer’s Premium has been around for over a 100 years and we feel that it is time for something different and that the industry has to change with the times. We all have to deal with the changing times and the Auction industry is no different.

Many sports auction companies charge you expensive “buyer’s premiums” when you win an item at auction. The fees on average today have been reported at 17.5%* per item won, an incredible jump in final cost to you.

These fees do not occur otherwise at online retail auction outlets, so why should it apply to sports memorabilia? At Paragon Auctions, there are NO BUYER’S PREMIUMS. Rest assured what you bid is what you pay (shipping and taxes may apply).
