Small Traditions Monthly Auction #5 In Progress – Ends 1/31

Do you miss the golden days of eBay, when auctions started for just one penny or for 99 cents and ran for a week with no reserves, and winners could actually score some great deals if they were in the right spot at the right time? Well, the original eBay auction spirit is alive and well at Small Traditions, where our Monthly Auction #5 is now live and fully navigable, and it might just be our best auction yet.

As always, in keeping with tradition, every single one of our lots starts at just $1 and will sell to the highest bidder. There are no outlandish starting prices, no reserves, and no hidden reserves, and shipping is entirely free, whether you win just 1 lot, or whether you win 101 lots.

What does fully navigable mean? Simple. From the auction homepage, you will find a category menu on the left side with dozens of links, such as PSA 10 Gem Mint (173) or Rookie Cards (124) or New York Yankees (73). Simply click these links to be taken directly to all current listings in those categories. Likewise, from each individual lot view, you will also see a number of links in the top left corner of each listing. If you’re checking out our Pop 1 BGS 10 Pristine Randy Johnson rookies, for example and would like to see what other Pop 1 BGS 10s are being offered this month, simply click the Pop 1 link at the top left, and you’ll find more than a few.

This month we are happy to offer a staggering selection of Derek Jeter rookie and insert cards, highlighted by a pair of Leaf Signature Autograph RCs from Derek’s Rookie of the Year season of 1996: a Pop 2 PSA 10 example of the Silver version, limited to just 200 copies produced, and also a perfect PSA 10 example of the Extended Autograph version as well. These are some of the most coveted Derek Jeter rookie cards in the hobby.

In addition, there are dozens more appealing low pop PSA 10 Jeter cards and dozens of challenging BGS 10 Pristines, including a fantastic selection of low pop BGS 10 rookie cards from the 1980s, like Bo Jackson and Randy Johnson and Barry Bonds. There are hundreds of PSA 10s and PSA 9s as well as BGS 9.5 Gem Mints. There’s a borderline Pristine 10 example of Tiger Woods’ famous SI for Kids rookie card, one of the hobby’s finest examples of Whitey Ford’s 1953 Topps cards, and you’ll also find a beautiful collection of concert posters and art prints. No surprise that our favorite is a coveted giclee print by famed Portland artist, Josh Keyes, entitled, “The Collector.”
