PSA has opened up its Population Report to the masses for the first time. The company has now announced that it is also makings its monthly online SMR Online Price Guide available at no charge. With a steady hand, collectors could remove the cards from the box. Today, there are more and more collectors who are trying to find complete panels, which can be tough to locate. (From Sports Market Report) - The 1949 Leaf football set, while not as popular as its predecessor (1948 Leaf), retains much of the appeal in terms of design and difficulty. The set contains 49 cards, versus 98 in the 1948 Leaf set. In addition, while the set does not contain the plethora of rookies found in the 1948 issue, the 1949 set does contain a fair amount of Hall of Famers, including Sammy Baugh and Bobby Layne.
