1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle ROOKIE RC #253 PSA 6.5 EXMT Offered By PWCC

Oh boy! It’s been a long time since PWCC touched a Mantle RC that boasted the eye appeal of this example. A glistening copy offered here; not only a headliner to the PWCC #11 auction but also represents perhaps the most important rookie card ever issued and actually remains woefully undervalued in our estimation compared to overall importance.

A boldly struck copy which features wonderfully strong print, focus, and contrast for the issue. Almost dead centered and well which may be the rarest of all qualities inherent to this blue-chip specimen. The edges are chip less, the back is clean, and the corners are uniformly square. Aside from a modest bit of wear to the upper right point, the rest of this card seems worthy conservatively of the NM-MT designation. Even still, this card largely outshines most of the PSA 8s in the market and technically seems worthy of at least the 0.5 bump to a NRMT 7 status. There simply are not enough to these Mantle rookies to go around, and what few copies do surface simply don’t often compel investors to treat them as top-level assets. Here we have a world class example and in whole this presents an equally exceptional investment opportunity, worthy of the finest trading card portfolio. One of over 13,000 cards, lots and sets up for bid in our 11th Auction of 2018.
