A 1953 Bowman Color Mickey Mantle graded PSA 2 led the latest Fat Apple Auctions results that closed on August 9, 2026, selling for $1,613 after 17 bids. Starting with an opening bid of just $200, the vintage Mantle climbed to more than eight times that amount to capture the auction’s top price. The 1953 Bowman Color set is celebrated for its photography focused design, and Mantle’s card remains one of the key issues from the New York Yankees legend’s early career.
An Andrew Jackson signed land deed, custom framed and accompanied by a JSA Letter of Authenticity, finished second at $1,102 after 16 bids. The document bearing the signature of the seventh President of the United States also opened at $200 before surpassing the $1,000 mark. Presidential material continued to perform well with an Andrew Johnson signed document taking the third spot.
The Andrew Johnson signed document, also custom framed, generated 15 bids and realized $828. Together, the Jackson and Johnson documents placed two pieces of American presidential memorabilia among the auction’s three highest results.
Mickey Mantle appeared again in fourth place. A signed “A Day to Remember” retirement program, authenticated by JSA, sold for $467. Mantle would ultimately place three items among the auction’s Top 10, further demonstrating his continued popularity across both vintage cards and autographed memorabilia.
A key Detroit Tigers rookie card rounded out the Top 5, as a 1954 Topps Al Kaline rookie card graded PSA 2 attracted eight bids and sold for $412.

Just outside the Top 10, a Rickey Henderson signed Louisville Slugger bat, authenticated by JSA, generated six bids and sold for $234. A 2024 Topps Transcendent Rickey Henderson autographed relic numbered 16/25 followed at $212.
Vintage baseball cards and autographs accounted for much of the leading activity. In addition to the $1,613 Mantle and $412 Kaline rookies, the PSA 6 Steve Carlton rookie reached $310, while Yankees and Mantle autographs occupied several additional positions.
The auction also offered an eclectic mix beyond sports. Presidential autographs from Andrew Jackson and Andrew Johnson captured two of the top three prices, while the $300 Star Trek lithograph signed by William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy represented entertainment memorabilia among the Top 10.
