Two pairs of boxing gloves from historic Muhammad Ali fights each brought $385,848 in an auction of memorabilia from the estate of famed trainer Angelo Dundee (Dundee estate collection brought over $1.3 million). The gloves each set record prices for the most valuable boxing memorabilia ever sold, according to SCP Auctions, which was given charge of the Dundee collection.
More than 800 lots of Important Sports Memorabilia & Cards are open for bidding, including items from the estate and personal collections of Hall of Famers Angelo Dundee, Ozzie Smith, Paul Hornung, Sam Jones, Oscar Robertson and David Thompson in addition to The Southern Fairway Find of scarce Tobacco Cards and The John DeMatties Collection.
