Lot #151 – 1927 Spalding – Babe Ruth HOF – SGC 50 – RARE 1927 BACK (1 OF 2) This auction is for an extremely rare 1927 Sports Co. Of American vintage baseball card of the Yankees HOF Slugger – Babe Ruth. This set was produced mainly in 1926 with Babe’s normal card having a 1926 Copyright on the back. This rare 1927 Variation has only been graded twice by Sportscard Guaranty and PSA. The 2011 Annual SCD Guide shows the 1927 Variaiton at between a 4-5X Premium with a book of $7500. The card is in very nice condition being well centered and free of creases with a bold clear image. It does have slightly rounded corners and the surface also appears to be slightly warped and not flat. It has been professionally graded by Sportscard Guaranty an SGC 50 or VG/EX 4 with stronger eye appeal. Lot #42 – 1909-11 Polar Bear T206 – Ray Demmitt – St. Louis – PSA 3 This auction is for a 1909-11 Polar Bear T206 vintage tobacco baseball card of the St. Louis Cardinals – Ray Demmitt. This tough St. Louis variation of Demmitt is only available with Polar Bear Cigarettes and it in very nice condition being well centered with good color and registration and a fairly clean POLAR BEAR back. It does have slightly rounded / frayed corners, a corner crease in the bottom right corner and a faint edge wrinkle from the top border on the back that presents as a hint of a wrinkle with lighter color in the upper left corner on the front.
