Auction #232 – $5 Reserve Auction Wednesday March 2nd, 2016! Bid, view and register for the auction here.
Our current auction is the always popular $5 reserve auction. This auction has many tougher pre-war cards, many well centered star cards and several quality group lots.
We open the auction with an N162 Goodwin Champions Tim Keefe, several Old Judge singles including two HOFers and several oddball 19th century issues. Early 20th century baseball cards include a 1907 H.M. Taylor postcard with Ty Cobb, a T206 Ty Cobb with the green background, a nice run of graded Sweet Caporal pins, a run of S74 silks with the rare paper back, many tougher 1920s cards and a run of 1933 Goudeys including a low grade Babe Ruth, Kiki Cuyler and Al Simmons.
We continue with some better 1933 Tattoo Orbits, a run of Diamond Stars, a run of very low grade 1934 Goudeys and a run of very high grade 1935 R310 Butterfingers.
For post-war cards, we have a 1945 Carmelo Deportivo Ray Dandridge, a 1946 Remar Bread set with a vintage Casey Stengel autograph, a run of 1949 Bowmans with Ashburn and Snider Rookies, a great selection of 1951 Bowmans including a high grade Mickey Mantle RC in a PSA Authentic holder, a high grade Whitey Ford in a PSA Authentic holder, several group lots and most of the key stars cards as single lots in collector grade.
We have a solid selection of 1952 Bowmans, 1953 Bowman Color, and all of the Topps mainstream sets from 1955-1960. These issues often include a partial set and a high number run. Several oddball issues from the 1960s conclude the auction.
