Bread Cards Bring Big Bread At Auction

They don’t get the love of some of the more famous cards of the era, but a group of almost century-old Brunners Bread Hall of Famers made a statement at auction. A 1911-1914 Brunners Bread Ty Cobb graded SGC 60 became the latest $100,000 baseball card early Friday morning. The card, part of a group of Brunners cards offered by Goodwin & Co., drew 29 bids and easily set a record when it closed for $109,103 including the buyer’s premium of 17.5%.
