We open the auction with one of only ten known Babe Ruth Rookie Cards with a Weil Baking back. A low grade card, this is nonetheless an extremely significant card. The next headliner is a freshly graded and gorgeous 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 6, a super sharp and colorful card for the grade.
We continue with an 1888 Goodwin Round Album set, E95 Honus Wagner SGC 2.5, T206 Cobb Bat on Shoulder Beckett 3.5 and a T206 Magie Error PSA 1.
Key lots continue with some amazing pre-war cards that have been off the market for decades and are freshly slabbed. These gems include T213 Type 1 Ty Cobb PSA 1, M101-5 Sporting News Jim Thorpe PSA 2.5,1916 Standard Biscuit Joe Jackson PSA AA, 1917 E135 Collins McCarthy Shoeless Joe Jackson PSA AA and Babe Ruth PSA 1, 1917 E135 Standard Biscuit Honus Wagner PSA 3 and a pair of 1921 E121 Babe Ruths.
For more mainstream collectors, we have a 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #53 SGC 2.5, #144 SGC 2, #149 PSA 4 and a 1933 World Wide Gum SGC 1. There is a gorgeous matched pair of SGC 5 and 5.5 1934 Goudey Lou Gehrig cards, the ultra-rare 1936 World Wide Gum Joe DiMaggio Rookie Card (PSA 2) and a 1938 Goudey DiMaggio PSA 3.
Post-war key cards include the vital 1948 Leaf Satchel Paige (PSA 2) and Jackie Robinson (PSA 4), 1949 Bowman Satchel Paige and Jackie Robinson cards in PSA 6 holders, 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle RC in SGC 4 and PSA 6 mc, 1951 Bowman Willie Mays RC PSA 6 mc and super high grade 1960 and 1972 Topps sets.
Other key lots include a superb signed 1953 Bowman Color Mantle, a Boys of Summer first edition signed with a note from Jackie Robinson, a game used and signed base from the 2011 Derek Jeter flip game, a 2011 Derek Jeter signed game used jersey and a 2013 Mariano Rivera signed jersey.
We close out the key lots with a complete 1948 Leaf football graded set, a high grade 1958 Topps football complete set and finally, a Thomas Jefferson signed document as President.
The rest of the auction contains a terrific mix of cards, autographs and memorabilia. We have hundreds of lots of quality single cards, including a slew of Mantles, clean Hall of Fame Rookie Cards and vital star cards going up to the present day.
