Clean Sweep Auctions Current Auction Ends April 11-12, 2018Clean Sweep Auctions opens the year with one of our biggest and most balanced auctions, checking in just under 1,000 lots, this auction is filled with interesting and fresh material from several major collections. Key lots in the auction include a fully slabbed 1922 Neilson’s Chocolate set, a 1956 Topps PSA 8 set, a 1911 Jones, Keyser & Arras Hal Chase, a 1967 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 9, a 1948 Bowman basketball set, a superb Roberto Clemente Sport Magazine signed 8×10 and signed letters from Sigmund Freud and Martin Luther King.

Baseball cards begin the auction. We have many rare New York Yankee cards going back to the turn of the century, including Red Cross, Fleishmann’s Bread and T5 Pinkertons.

There is a terrific run of Mickey Mantle cards from 1952 – 1969, almost all 7 or higher. There is a great selection of PSA-slabbed HOF Rookie Cards, generally 7 or higher, from 1954 to 1969. Baseball sets and lots include a nice 1949 Bowman, 1954 and 1955 Topps in the key lots section.

We have really nice 1962 and 1963 Topps with graded keys, a superb 1964 Stand Up set and many high grade lots of graded and ungraded cards from the 1950s through the 1970s.

Baseball autographs include some rare and terrific Yankee team signed photos dating back to the 1950s, a stunning 1951 World Series Program with 35 autographs, rare autographs from Hal Chase and Jimmy Collins and a gorgeous 1955 Roberto Clemente signed Pittsburgh Pirates matchbook slabbed PSA 8. There are several nice Jackie Robinson signed items, including a PSA 7.5 single signed baseball.

Collectors of historical and entertainment autographs will see several new collections that include fine Presidential cut signatures dating back to Andrew Jackson, a Neil Armstrong signed 8×10, Charlton Heston’s signed 1954 Actor’s Equity Association card and much more.

Basketball collectors will see many high grade vintage card lots and a superb 1971-2 Topps Pete Maravich signed card.

Football collectors will see a run of high quality single cards and sets going back to the 1930s. Football autographs include a superb Knute Rockne signature, a Vince Lombardi signed 8×10 photo and signed 1957 Topps Bart Starr and 1958 Topps Jim Brown Rookie Cards.

We have our best offering ever of vintage hockey cards. Almost all from a single owner, a collector spent countless time scouring ebay and shows looking for sharp cards. He amassed a truly enormous collection of super sharp cards, offered in over 100 different lots! There are single cards that include PSA 10s, sets and many, many terrific partial sets, group lots and slabbed lots, as nice as one can find in today’s market. We have very low minimum bids on these lots to make things especially interesting.

Baseball memorabilia closes out the auction. Notable offerings include a terrific 19th century Harper’s Weekly baseball-related print collection, World Series tickets from 1911, 1923 (full) and 1926 (Babe Ruth 3-Home Run game), three nice 1940s and 1950s era advertising signs and game used bats from Reggie Jackson (1976 as an Oriole) and Kirk Gibson (PSA GU 10).
