This auction has been fun to assemble. Among our most balanced auctions, day one is all about baseball autographs. Highlights here include many nice signed vintage cards from the 1950s through the 1970s and several fine 8×10 single photos of HOFer and many nice group lots. We have a small but quality run of Burke signed photos with HOFers, several quality signed books, including Mantles and a superb 1980 Phillies team signed book. There is a large selection of signed jerseys and bats with many highlights.
We have a huge number of signed FDCs, mainly from a single collection, with key HOFers and many terrific group lots. Autographed baseball collectors can have a field day here, with hundreds of single signed balls with HOFers, stars and quality lots and a fresh run of team signed balls that date back to the 1940s.
Day two begins with baseball cards. One highlight here (and going forward) will be offerings from an amazing lifelong Chicago Cubs collection that has just amazing and fascinating content. This auction has many terrific oddball issues, including the Venezuela cards and much more. Baseball cards contain a run of sets from the late 1960s through the 1980s, quality partial sets starting in 1960, high number runs and quality single cards through the current day.
Basketball comes next, with quality cards from the 1970s to the present, several better Larry Bird signed items and other interesting pieces of signed and unsigned memorabilia. Boxing follows with several fine Ali signed items and other interesting memorabilia.
Football is always a high point in these auctions. We have card lots going back to the 1940s, with many quality partial sets. There are some nice unopened boxes, many desirable signed cards, signed Goal Lines, photos, programs and much more. Hockey collectors will see cards from the 1960s to the present and some nice early Gretzky signed items, a fine run of press passes and more.
Baseball memorabilia starts with a fine offering of pubs. We have clean World Series programs from the 1930s onward, higher grade yearbooks and a run of All Star Game programs beginning in 1935. We continue with a clean run of Hartlands, many fine pennants dating back to the 1940s, a run of quality vintage photos, good pins, many quality tickets and other interesting memorabilia lots.
