Absolutely our most balanced auction ever, there are some truly great items of historic baseball memorabilia, autographed baseballs and flat items, Presidential and historic autographs and a truly world class collection of post-war oddball and regional baseball card issues.

We open the auction with some of the best items we have ever handled, some simply unbelievable Christy Mathewson items, including his actual dog tags from World War One, his gold 1914 Baseball Magazine All American award pin and two engraved New York Giants sterling silver passes from the 1920s. Memorabilia continues with a great run of pins including a 1908 Cubs and many key press pins from the 1920s and 1930s. Ring collectors will see a beautiful 2009 New York Yankees World Series Ring.

Single signed baseball collectors will see the best Babe Ruth single signed baseball we have ever handled, a Beckett Mint 9, a superb Dwight Eisenhower single signed baseball and some amazing col- lections of Rookie of the Year, World Series MVPs, HOFer on Hall of Fame baseballs, 500 Home Run, 3000 Strikeout and 300 Win single signed baseballs (many full runs) on special balls, many with inscriptions. We have our usual extensive offering of signed cards, vintage HOF flats, photos and more with all kinds of great content. The highlight of this section is a true fully-executed Mickey Mantle player contract from 1965.

Collectors of historical autographs will see some great material, including a Thomas Jefferson/James Madison signed Ship’s Papers, an Abraham Lincoln/William Seward signed letter, a Patrick Henry document and two great FDR signed items, including his 1940 signed vehicle registration.

Baseball cards are an auction unto themselves, with a staggering 150+ lots of vintage sets, partial sets and group lots, and then nearly 200 lots of graded cards. The heart of this section is a truly stunning col- lection of post-war oddball and regional issues, including nearly every collected issue from this era, with many truly rare items.

The high points here include a graded T205 Gold Border set, an 1897 Boston Beaneaters cabinet photo that is new to the hobby, a white-hot 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle Rookie Card and my favorite, a 1963 Colt ‘45s John Bateman in a PSA 7 grade (there is only one other graded example and it is an Authentic) and a 1971 Topps Greatest Moments set among so much more.

Collectors of the other major sports will see several respectable mid-grade vintage sets and autographed items, with note to a 1948 Football Exhibit set and a rare 1969 Super Bowl III original film.

We hope you will enjoy reviewing this catalog, it is honestly bursting with wonderful material in virtually every category that he handle.

The market continues to be the strongest ever for high quality material. If anyone has very substantial items or a collection they are considering selling, the timing has honestly never been better. Our auction prices have been consistently very, very strong. We have the financial resources to accomodate any size collection.
