Sterling Sports Auctions is the creation of Brian Dwyer, a lifelong collector turned sportscard industry professional. Brian has always been a student of the hobby, spending years buying and selling cards, attending card shows and conventions, networking with collectors and dealers, and learning as much as possible about the wide variety of cards available to collect. During a two and a half year tenure with Sportscard Guaranty (SGC), an industry-leading third-party authenticator of trading cards, Brian led Business Development for the company, expanding both the company’s market share and his own understanding of the hobby. Upon leaving SGC, Brian rejoined the dealer ranks, focusing on buying, selling, and brokering cards between his extensive network of buyers and sellers under the name Vintage Card Connection. This newest venture, Sterling Sports Auctions, aims to simplify the auction process for all parties with quick, easy, and professional service at all stages–from consignment to payout and bidding to order fulfillment. Our Inaugural Auction : Preview April 21, Bidding May 4 – May 19, 2011.
Sterling Sports Auctions is now accepting consignments for the May auction. We are actively seeking single cards, complete sets and entire collections of sports and non-sports cards ranging from the 19th century onward.
By running a monthly internet auction, accepting Paypal, and charging a modest 15% buyer’s premium, Sterling Sports Auctions is able to put more money in your pocket in a shorter period of time. The entire process can take as little as a few weeks compared to other months-long options where you consign several weeks prior to the auction and wait 30-45 days after the auction ends until you get paid.
Call or e-mail us today to discuss your items and see how Sterling Sports Auctions can work for you!
