Last Days To Bid In MEARS July 30th Auction – Game Used Bats, Autographs, Jerseys, And More

For the MEARS July 22nd-30th, 2011 Auction, we are offering one of our best assortment of rare bats to date. We have over 500 affordable lots, spanning all genres of collecting interests. Photo collectors will be interested in our hand-developed Charles Conlon prints, used in the printing of the book on his work.  Over the next several weeks, we plan on re-launching the MEARS Authentication website, which will soon feature a new and improved online store. The site will have an updated look, with increased functionality. We will also be highlighting our recent All Star Game exhibit.

We have also created a face book page, mearsonlineauctions facebook,  We will be using this as a means to promote our upcoming events, provide updates on auction news, provide authentication tips and news features, and interact with our customers in a timely fashion. The star of the show is the 1936-39 Ciudad Trujillo Dragons Championship Team game used bat. Stars of the 1937 United States Negro Leagues were recruited to play for the ruthless dictator Rafael Trujillo. Under threat of death, Satchel Paige and his All Star Dragons’ team were forced into a game 7 life or death match. This bat was part of that historic event. Honus Wagner is also represented with a very rare 1914-16 H&B bat. 50+ total bat lots make up this sale.
