SCP Auctions will be in Cleveland, Ohio July 28th through August 2nd for the National Sports Collectors Convention held at the IX Center. We’ll be accepting consignments for our Fall/Winter 2009 Internet Auction and have an incredible array of inventory for sale at our booth. The first year I remember watching Chicago Bears football games, Dick Butkus and 
Gale Sayers were rookies for the Bears. During their careers, the won-loss record wasn’t that good, but with Sayers on offense and Butkus on defense, there was never a dull moment. The Butkus game worn helmet pictured with this article ended this week in an SCP auction for $5188. If they did DNA testing on that helmet, there would probably be blood from quite a few NFL players embedded in the paint. Read the full article on the Examiner.com.
