With close personal friends such as Ernie Banks and Ted Williams, it’s no wonder that former Milwaukee Braves scout Earle Halstead accumulated a fantastic collection of baseball memorabilia over the years. In addition to being regarded as one of the more successful scouts in team history, Halstead was one of the Triple A’s best umpires, while he’s also recognized as the inventor of the first curve ball pitching machine ever put on the market.
Originating directly from family of the highly notable figure from the diamond, Heritage’s April Signature Auction will feature an amazing array of PSA-graded World Series tickets. More than 100 tickets will be offered in a total of six lots, while the World Series full and stubs range from 1929-2005.
Other than game-worn equipment, there are no pieces of memorabilia that connect the collector to the actual event more than ticket stubs. This upcoming offering from the collection of Earle Halstead will represent some of the most memorable “Fall Classic” games in history.
