Goldin Auctions Donates Tupac Shakur Memorabilia to Temple University’s Blockson Collection

Temple University’s Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection unveiled to the media newly acquired material from the estate of slain rapper Tupac Shakur before the university at a private donor reception on Nov. 1 to acknowledge the gift from Goldin Auctions of Runnemede, New Jersey.

The material includes Shakur’s diamond earring from the cover of “All Eyez On Me,” as well as the bullet-dented gold and diamond crown medallion Shakur was wearing during a 1994 shooting in New York City.

Other items include handwritten “I Ain’t Mad At Cha” and “It Ain’t Easy” lyrics; unreleased track lists “Street Fame,” “Troublesome,” “The Young Thugz” and “Nuthin’ Gold;” and other handwritten song lists or working lyrics, such as “Who Do You Love” and “Only Fear of Death.”

“We have offered for auction many of the most iconic pieces of Tupac Shakur memorabilia, so we felt it fitting to donate these items to Temple due to the stature and expertise of the Blockson Collection and because Temple offers a course about him (Tupac Shakur and the Hip-Hop Revolution),” said Goldin Auctions founder Ken Goldin, a Philadelphia native. “We hope this collection helps continue to teach the legacy of Tupac to his fans and the entire Temple community.”
