Goldin Auctions Spring Auction Tallies $4.6 Million in Sales

Goldin Auctions Live Auction Sets Records and Nets $2.9 Million in SalesThe online portion of the Goldin Auctions Spring Auction closed this weekend generating $1.7 million in sales. Combined with the record breaking live auction held on April 30 at the New York Yankees Steak House, the 1,400+ lots of memorabilia sold for a whopping $4.6 million.

Among the highlights of the online auction were a Mickey Mantle Topps #311 rookie card (PSA EX5) for $63,400, a 2012 Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl Ring for $68,320 and a collection of Kennedy memorabilia selling for a combined $42,032. Last week’s live auction had a host of record-setting sales including: 1922 Babe Ruth New York Yankees Contract ($549,000); 1955 Ted Williams Game Used Red Sox Road Jersey with Matching Pants ($183,000); 1909-11 T-206 White Border Eddie Plank Trading Card PSA VG-EX 4 ($100,040); 1953 Bowman Color #59 Mickey Mantle PSA MINT 9 ($58,560); and Historic Larry Bird Jersey from May 22, 1988 Playoff Game 7 vs Atlanta ($64,050); and the 2001 Mike Piazza Post 9/11 HR Jersey ($365,0000 for a modern era jersey).

  • Lot #1346 – 1963 White House Christmas Card Signed by President and Mrs. Kennedy (PSA/DNA Gem Mint 10) – ($14,640)- Only 15 bearing their signatures are known to exist and not even discovered until the mid-1980’s.
