Legendary Dale Earnhardt Busch Series Race Car From the Heyday of NASCAR Up for Auction
Motorsport enthusiasts and collectors – get ready to rev up your engines! An iconic exclusive #8 Busch Series car built by NASCAR Champion Dale Earnhardt’s racing team is up for auction at Goldin, the leading collectibles marketplace. As the NASCAR Cup Series Championship quickly approaches this season, fans have the unique opportunity to own a piece of remarkable NASCAR history by placing a bid.
This one-of-a-kind car is the epitome of American ingenuity — a result of engineering combined with Earnhardt’s legendary career. Dale Earnhardt, nicknamed the “Intimidator,” left an indelible mark on the sport with his impressive list of accomplishments and his fearless, winning driving style. His aggressive yet strategic approach to racing earned him 76 career wins, including a remarkable victory at the 1998 Daytona 500, NASCAR’s most prestigious race, and inclusion in the 1998 NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers class.
The popularity of NASCAR in the U.S. grew with Earnhardt’s success. Earnhardt founded his racing company, which built this legendary #8 Busch Series car, and it now stands as a testament to the sport’s history. The car features all original technology, including the rare first TD1 Chassis ID from this build, with fully functioning instruments on the dashboard. Decorated with historical sponsorship stickers and a Busch Series sticker on the lower right passenger-side window, this race car is a true symbol of NASCAR.
“Dale Earnhardt is one of the well-known names in NASCAR, who dominated the sport throughout his career,” said Dave Amerman, Head of Revenue & Sports Consignment at Goldin. “It’s incredibly exciting for us to be able to auction one of his very own cars that was made by his family company, as he continues to inspire countless drivers in NASCAR and his son, Dale Jr., makes a name for himself in the sport.”
The car is currently available for bidding as part of Goldin’s September Elite Auction and will be available for bidding through October 1. All proceeds from the winning bid will be donated directly to Grow with Grey, a 501c for Autism Awareness.
