In the first of five auctions planned for 2008, Goodwin and Co. leads off its March 6 “Masterpieces and Uncommon Commons XV” auction with a rare, and perhaps the only, 1913 Boston Garter Walter Johnson. Bidders will also find Hall of Fame and common cards of extremely difficult issues such as Williams Caramels, E-97 Briggs and Orange Borders. The veteran dealer and auctioneer is offering a complete high-grade Tip Top Bread set that is being offered as individual lots, in addition to a high-grade 1963 Topps set that has been broken up and being sold as single lots (PSA 8s and 9s).
“Our catalog also contains an outstanding variety of cards that you have come to expect from ‘Masterpieces and Uncommon Commons’ auctions,” said Bill Goodwin.
For example: Old Judges, low population T206s, Caramel cards, Regionals, W-600s, Turkey Reds, Dietsche Postcards, Cuban issues, Goudeys, Diamond Stars and high-grade Topps and Bowman cards are included. Bidders are urged to call or e-mail for any descriptions or questions on any lot.
