goodwin10-26-12Bidding is in progress and concludes on March 12th for the Goodwin & Company Masterpieces & Uncommon Commons Auction. Bid, view items and register for the auction at www.goodwinandco.com

Leading off Auction LIX is a seldom offered high grade 1914 Cracker Jack Christy Mathewson. Equally rare are exquisite T206 portraits of two of baseball’s greatest pitchers, Walter Johnson and Cy Young. Graded PSA 8 near mint to mint, either portrait would surely represent a place of honor in even the most advanced collection.

The final card of the classic 1952 Topps issue, the Eddie Mathews rookie card, is presented in a fabulous PSA 8 along with over 100 cards from the same issue.

Part one of the finest vintage card collection we have ever offered is displayed proudly in these pages. Over 70 autographed Goudey cards, including Lazzeri, Pennock, Hornsby and Dizzy Dean, are showcased.

Many of the autographed cards, such as the Williams rookie and the Bowman Musial, have vintage autographs which date back to the time that the cards were produced in the 1930s and 1940s.

Don’t miss the high grade rookie cards such as the Nolan Ryan rookie in a PSA 9 holder, a Thurman Munson rookie card in a PSA 10 or the Bird/Magic rookie card in a GEM MINT 10. Complete sets include a 1911 Turkey Red including boxers, a 1941 Play Ball, a 1949 Leaf Football, a 1951 Berk Ross panel set and a Johnson’s Cookies. T206 enthusiasts will not be disappointed with the catalog selection which includes rare Drum, Uzit and Lennox backs.
