Legendary Auctions Photography catalog features 1000s of original news service photos and negatives including the original prints of A.B. Rickerby, and the final offering of glass plate negatives from the Detroit News archive (After this sale, no more of these outstanding negatives – which showcase the likes of Ty Cobb, Sam Crawford and Hughie Jennings – will be offered.). The sale also includes photos from the World of Sports, History, Entertainment, and several dozen original Ansel Adams prints. For this event, our bidders will see a change in the sale’s composition. Prior auctions have concentrated on individual photos from specific archives. For a new approach and to do something a bit different, the May sale will feature just a handful of single pieces and a large number of exciting group lots. PLEASE NOTE: The Sports and Americana lots end on Tuesday, May 25 and Wednesday May, 26.
