Goldin Auction’s Summer Auction Open Today – Ends July 19thGoldin Auctions is offering a collection of memorabilia from the likes of Kobe Bryant, Derek Jeter, Mike Tyson Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson and more that just might set more records. The headline items in the auction are a collection of memorabilia from the early basketball career of NBA great Kobe Bryant that have rocked the industry. Normally only available well after a player has retired, these items are accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity signed by his mother Pamela Bryant. The LOA’s state that the items are all authentic and have been in her possession until being part of this auction. In addition 50% of the sale price from four of the items (* noted below) will be donated to The BULLY Project – a Kobe Bryant supported charity.

But this 1,150-plus auction offers just more than a the Bryant items. Here are just some of the highlights of the 2013 Goldin Auctions Summer Spectacular which is open from June 17-July 19, 2013 at www.GoldinAuctions.com.

Lot #1 – Dated 1855, the Constitution and By-Laws from the Excelsior Base Ball Club of Brooklyn is perhaps the oldest such document of its kind – in fact it’s older than the edition currently on display at the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum. This pristine document surfaced this year after being hidden away by the original owner’s family for 150 years.

Lot #2 –1949 Jackie Robinson MVP Season Game-Used Bat – only known one in existence from Robinson’s greatest season (Graded PSA GU-9).

Lot #3 – T206 Ty Cobb card with a rare Ty Cobb back (PSA Graded PR1)

Lot #7 – Baseball signed by President Harry S. Truman  (PSA/DNA Near Mint 7)

Lot #8 – 1947-49 Yogi Berra game-worn catchers’ mitt signed by the Hall of Famer.

Lot #12 – Hakeem Olajuwon’s personal copy of the NBA’s 50 Greatest Players montage signed by 49 players (except Pete Maravich).

Lot #13 – Kobe Bryant 2000 Lakers NBA Championship Ring 14K-28 Diamonds (Laker Issued Player Ring Gifted by Kobe to Joe Bryant – size 11 ½ – same as Kobe’s)

Lot #14 – Kobe Bryant 2000 Lakers NBA Championship Ring 14K-24 Diamonds (Laker Issued Player ring gifted by Kobe to Pam Bryant)

Lot #15 – Kobe Bryant’s 2000 NBA All-Star Game Ring *

Lot #16 – Kobe Bryant’s Lower Merion H.S. game used #33 maroon uniform (shirt & shorts)*

Lot #17 – Kobe Bryant’s Lower Merion H.S. game used #33 white uniform (shirt & shorts)*

Lot #18 –Kobe Bryant’s 1996 Magic’s Roundball Classic All Star Medallion and Ribbon *

Lot #33 – 2000 Jeter Signed World Series Check Signed over to his Mother. Jeter’s winner’s share of the 2000 Mets-Yankees World Series was issued as this bonus check for $294,783.41 and minus taxes Jeter took home $175,062.60.

Lot #35 – 1994 Derek Jeter Pre-Rookie Game-Used and Signed Spring Training Yankees Jersey – Quite possibly the first jersey ever worn by the Jeter when he first joined the Yankees 1994 spring training.

Lot #36 – 2001 Jeter World Series Game Used and Signed Bat with Display. This unique display showcases the bat Jeter broke during the 6th inning of Game One of the 2001 World Series versus Arizona’s Curt Schilling. Jeter signed the barrel end of the bat in silver ink (graded a “9”).

Lot #38 – Jeter Game Used and Signed Fielder’s Glove. A Jeter signed game used glove is among the most rare collectible. . Jeter has signed the thumb in silver ink which contrasts nicely with the glove’s black leather.

Lot #98 – 1964-65 Roger Maris game-used Hillerich & Bradsby game used bat(PSA/GU 9.5)

Lots #278, #281 and #282:All-Star signed balls from 1933 and 1934 All Star games, as well as the 1934 tour of Japan, all feature Ruth and Gehrig signatures

Lot #910 – Michael Jordan Game Worn and Signed/Inscribed Sneakers personally given by Air Jordan to Mike Tyson with an inscription that reads: “TO MIKE – STAY STRONG – Michael Jordan.”

Lot #1029 – Bout worn Mike Tyson trunks from his controversial fight against Andrew Golota on Oct. 20, 2000 when Golota quit after the second round.

Numerous Lots — An incredible selection of complete Topps and Bowman baseball card sets from 1948-96 that are spread throughout the auction.  Here’s a link to one of the sets.
