Lelands Winter Classic Auction Expert Picks – Ending February 1, 2019

The 2019 Lelands Winter Classic Auction is in progress and runs until Friday, February 1st! Not only is Lelands the original sports auction house, they are the premier appraisers and auctioneers in the hobby. There experts have carefully selected some of their favorite pieces just for you.

Winter Classic Auction Spotlight Items:

Lot # 4: All-Time Greatest 1910 T218 Champions Complete Graded Set – #1 on PSA Registry (8.02 GPA)
“If I were asked what piece or pieces have the best long-term potential in this auction, it would have to be the High-Grade Boxing Sets including the T218 set, my personal favorite. With the tremendous rise in the highest graded registry baseball sets and more recently the football sets, boxing isn’t far behind. Talk about getting in on the ground floor!”

Lot # 159: Spectacular 1937 Horrors of War Window Poster
“Just think, this piece was displayed in the windows of retailers back in 1938. Aside from the brilliant colors, there’s also a massive amount of mayhem and bloodshed. The graphics are incredible and eye-catching, so if this didn’t catch a young child’s attention I’m not sure what would. The only problem with the display would seem to be that after catching the consumer’s attention it also scared the crap out of them.”

Lot # 582: Magnificent Hall of Fame Signed Postcard Set (184 of 323)
“It’s not every day that you get the chance to own a collection of Hall of Fame autographs as complete as this and with the top caliber names. Typical Hall of Fame autograph collections of this size are mostly composed of the modern players, but this offering features some of the most sought after Hall of Fame signatures including the entire Inaugural Class except for Mathewson. Other names include Cy Young, Jackie Robinson, Mel Ott, Jimmie Foxx, Mordecai Brown, Rogers Hornsby and many more. A true “Hall of Fame” caliber collection.”
