As the Flight 3407 civil trial continues, one of the aspects of the family’s lawsuit is Doug Wielinski’s sports memorabilia collection that was destroyed in the fire following the Feb. 2009 crash. Doug was killed when the plane crashed into his Clarence Center home.
An expert on sports memorabilia testified Wednesday in the trial. What lawyers on both sides are trying to determine is the value of that memorabilia.
Joshua Evans, the owner of Leland’s, a sports memorabilia auction house, said he was familiar with Doug Wielinski as a major sports collector in the Buffalo area. He testified on behalf of the Wielinski family.
