A jersey worn by Michael Jordan in the 1992 Summer Olympics sold for $3,030,000 Wednesday night in a dedicated 24-lot auction of game-used Olympic “Dream Team” game-used jerseys and shoes consigned by Jordan’s teammate, Karl Malone. The Jordan jersey was part of a collection of shirts and shoes worn by the American team en route to Olympic history, all autographed by the players who wore them. They were consigned by Malone, who was part of the U.S. team that won the gold medal in the first appearance by professionals in the Olympic basketball competition.
