Unquestionably, one of our most intriguing pieces in the entire auction is a circa 1915 University of Kansas Jayhawks game-worn basketball jersey — the oldest known example from the famed hardwood institute. Derived from the family of an early member of the Kansas athletic department, and apparently its unofficial team photographer, it was discovered along with an assortment of both home and road photos in the mid-1990’s.
An appreciation for the significance of this offering should not be confined merely to those with a Jayhawk affiliation, as the roots of the sport are firmly planted in Kansas soil. This is a true, seminal artifact of the origins of the organized game, and a fitting cornerstone for any advanced collection on the theme. Please click here to view the listing.

August 7 KidSwing Golf Tournament
The KidSwing Golf Tournament was founded in 2003 by former Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) patient, Ben Sater. When he discovered that patients receive treatment regardless of their ability to pay, he decided to use his love for golf to give back to the hospital by creating KidSwing, a 9-hole, best-ball scramble for players ages 7 to 18 of all levels of golf ability.
KidSwing is a unique fundraising concept that is unparalleled. Unlike other charity golf tournaments, KidSwing is all about kids helping kids and gives local businesses and corporations the opportunity to help. There is no entry fee to play in the tournament, but players are encouraged to raise $100 by asking their friends and families to sponsor them. Building on the tremendous success of the original KidSwing-Dallas, two more tournaments were created — KidSwing-McKinney in 2008 and KidSwing-Trophy Club in 2011. More than 300 players participated in the Dallas, McKinney, and Trophy Club tournaments in 2011.
Since its inception, KidSwing has raised an astounding $1.2 million for TSRHC.
No Sales Tax or buyer’s premium is due for these Charity items.

Sunday Internet Auction Highlights
HA.com/Sports is the place to be every Sunday night for collectors of fine sports memorabilia and trading cards.
Over 100 lots will close to initial bidding at 10 PM CT. On a lot-by-lot basis, starting at 10:00 PM CT, any person who has bid on the lot previously may continue to bid on that lot until there are no more bids for 30 minutes. For example, if you bid on a lot during Normal Bidding, you could participate during Extended Bidding for that lot, but not on lots you did not bid on previously. If a bid was placed at 10:15, the new end time for that lot would become 10:45. If no other bids were placed before 10:45, the lot would close. If you are the high bidder on a lot, changing your bid will not extend the bidding during the 30 Minute Ending phase (only a bid from another bidder will extend bidding).
No other major sports memorabilia auction house provides its clientele this much bidding excitement. It’s just another reason why Heritage is the World’s Largest Collectibles Auctioneer.
Call or email today to discuss consigning your fine sport collectibles and trading cards to an upcoming Heritage auction.
