Highlights From The Auction:
- A 1916 M101-4 Blank Back #151 Babe Ruth rookie card (graded FR 1.5 by SGC) sold for $288,000, an all-time record for this grade. This rare card represents one of the peak achievements in all of card collecting and symbolizes the spirit of American baseball.
- A 1948 Bowman #69 George Mikan rookie card (graded SGC MINT 9) sold for $228,000, an all-time record price for an SGC 9. Among the copies of this card in SGC’s census reporting, this is the lone specimen at its soaring tier, and none has been graded higher.
- A 1984-85 Star #101 Michael Jordan rookie card (graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by PSA) sold for $144,000, an all-time record for this card in PSA 8.5. This coveted collectible displays Jordan utilizing his signature aggression and determination to secure a rebound.
