Small Traditions Spring Premium Auction In Progress – Ends May 4, 2019

Small Traditions is pleased to invite you to visit our Spring 2019 Premium Auction, which is now open for bidding and will end on Saturday, May 4, 2019 according to a hard auction closing time of 11pm PST (2am EST).  Bid, view and register for the auction at

The current auction may be one of our best and most eclectic sales yet, with page after page of rare PSA and BGS graded cards you simply won’t find anywhere else.

As many of you know, we have entirely eliminated the Extended Bidding portion from our auction closing process. The current Spring Premium Auction will close precisely at 11pm PST (2am EST) on Saturday night, May the 4th, not one second sooner, and not one minute later. There is no more 15-Minute rule, no Extended Bidding whatsoever. As such, we encourage all interested bidders to consider placing their bids much sooner than the final minutes or even final day of the auction. Please consider placing maximum bids to ensure your winning position on the items that interest you most, and please remember that placing a maximum bid on top of an already winning bid will NOT increase the current bid; it will merely provide you the protection of an additional bid (or bids) if another customer bids beneath you. However, if you place a straight bid above the next bid increment, that action will raise the current bid to the corresponding bid price, even if you are already the highest bidder. (In short, unless it’s part of your strategy to scare other bidders off, please don’t do that.)

Finally, a strategy for those who intend to bid in the final moments of the auction: consider opening a new tab in your web browser for each item you intend to win. This will significantly speed your bidding process, but only if you are bidding from a laptop or a desktop. If instead you want to secure winning bids on items that interest you, then, once again, we invite you to please bid today!

If you haven’t already, we also encourage you to sign-up at for PSA’s “Monthly Madness Sweepstakes,” sponsored by Small Traditions, LLC. Last month, we gave away a $2,000 Barry Bonds PSA 10 rookie card, and this month we’re giving away a $1,200 Derek Jeter PSA 10. Tell your friends and family to sign up today!

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or suggestions, and please call or write to take advantage of our popular Cost-Free Grading promotion. Submit up to 500 cards to Small Traditions’ new headquarters in the Cherry Creek North business district of Denver, and we’ll sort and filter your cards for grading with either PSA or BGS. We’ll do all the work, and we’ll pay all the expensive grading fees up front, subtracting those fees at discounted rates after your successful auction sales. There is no better offer in the industry.

There is no more extended bidding or 15-minute rule. Our current auction will end on Saturday night at precisely 11pm PST (2am EST), not one second earlier, not one minute later. In order to secure the lots you want, it is therefore very important that you place your bids sooner than later.

Our address has changed. Our new office is located in the Cherry Creek North business district of Denver at 2401 E. 2nd Ave, Suite G20, Denver CO 80206, in the Merrill Lynch building just one block west of the famous Cherry Cricket. We also invite you to consider the STs Store as a free, online home for treasured items from your personal collection. All we require are high-resolution images along with prices that YOU set. Grade 10 to 100 Cards with PSA & BGS at No Cost
Certified third-party grading is an expensive and delicate process that typically adds multiple factors of value to properly handled and selected cards. In the grading process, experienced professionals scrutinize every square millimeter of both surfaces of a card. A pixel-sized print dot can lower a card’s final grade a full level, and the tiniest imaginable nicks and scratches from handling can impact a grade even more. Use your discretion to select 10 to 100 of your best “raw” or ungraded cards to submit to Small Traditions, and we’ll use our expertise to further screen and prepare them for grading with PSA, SGC, or BGS, the hobby’s leading third-party certification companies. We’ll consult before and after the grading process to discuss your expectations and to ensure not just your satisfaction with the process but also your understanding of its many challenges. After initial consultation, we’ll then do the delicate and important work of sorting and preparing your cards for grading. We’ll pay to ship them off, we’ll pay the grading fees, we’ll pay to ship them back, and we’ll pay to auction them. We will pay for all charges up front and then deduct ONLY your grading fees after the completed auction(s) of your item(s). You keep 100% of the final bid(s), and we charge our bidders a flat participation fee, from which we derive our revenue.

Grade & Auction Your Entire Collection for as Little as 10-20%
Our Collection Management Service is a consultation and asset liquidation program aimed at maximizing the sales value of larger groups of cards and collectibles. Whether your collection consists of 200 signed photos or 200,000 old cards, instead of selling it in one block for far less than its potential market value — sometimes far less, as most dealers will usually pay 60% of book value for cash deals — we’ll organize your entire collection, identify the best candidates for grading, pay for and auction the graded cards, and then sell the leftovers in detailed groups. This extremely labor intensive process typically increases the values of the collections with which we work again by multiple factors. Instead of earning just $10,000 for your collection, we’ll work hard to earn you $20,000 to $30,000, or more, all at a modest cost of 10-20%, depending on the size of the collection. Working for a flat fee, we will help to sell your cards for as much potential profit as possible, so as to increase our small margin in the true market value of your collection once processed professionally and intelligently. There is no better deal in the hobby, period. Isn’t it time you returned to Small Traditions?
