So Far Collectibles Market Avoiding Economic Slump

With gas over $4 a gallon and the economy struggling, I am often asked how the collectibles market is doing. The big-money buyers sure haven’t lost faith in the high-end collectibles market. A 1909 T206 Honus Wagner card, graded Poor BVG 1 by Beckett Vintage Grading (the lowest grade it can get) recently sold for a record $317,250. is selling a PSA 5 MC graded Wagner in its August auction, which is expected to sell for $700,000 to $1 million. A Lou Gehrig game-worn jersey is expected to bring six figures in that same auction. For full article click here.
