SportsCardLink’s Summer “Set Builders” Auction is open for bidding! This auction features important sports cards from the late 1800s to the mid 1980’s, with a tremendous range of low, middle and high grade cards that will be sure to excite any sportscard collector. The title of the event is the “Set Builder” auction, as the items listed are primarily individual cards that are perfect for accumulators of the various sports card sets of the 20th century. High end cards such as Low Population PSA 8’s and 9’s are abundant in the auction, and collectors of sets such as 1952 Topps, 1955 Topps, 1962 Topps and several more would do well to check out the Lots in the auction.
Individual graded card highlights from this important auction include: a gorgeous 1907 A.C. Dietsche “Rookie” issue of the great Ty Cobb (Batting pose) in PSA 5, a spectacular, ultra high end 1954 Topps Henry Aaron rookie card graded PSA 6, a beautiful, blazing 1955 Topps Ted Williams card graded PSA 8, an incredible 1955 Red Man tobacco Hoyt Wilhelm in PSA 9, a 1966 Topps Football Don Maynard in PSA 10, a superb 1957 Topps Football rookie card of Dick “Night Train” Lane in SGC 96 Mint, and so many more! The auction also includes numerous graded and ungraded lots, partial sets, and ultra high grade cards for set builders. Groups of early tobacco and candy cards are available, as well as “Out of the Ordinary” cards such as a W516 Strip Card picturing Babe Ruth as a Yankee for the first time, in 1920. Several “Highest graded examples” such as 1960 Fleer Football PSA 10’s and 1968 Topps Baseball PSA 10’s are also included.
