Bidding is in progress for the Summer SportsCardLink Featured Auction. This auction features important sports cards from the early 1900’s to the mid 1980’s, with a tremendous range of low, middle and high grade cards sure to interest many sportscard collectors. The auction will close on Thursday, July 25th.
Individual graded card highlights from this important auction include a spectacular PSA 7 NM 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle (easily the most important post-war sportscard), several tremendous early cards of baseball superstar Ty Cobb, such as a T206 Portrait (Red), an M116 Sporting Life in PSA 7 NM and a T3 Turkey Red Cabinet card in PSA 1.5 Fair. The auction is also full of numerous cards from the beloved T3 Turkey Red set, as well as from the 1933 Goudey Gum set, considered to be one of the three most important card sets in the hobby!
The auction also includes numerous Post-WWII cards that should pique the interest of any collector, such as a gorgeous 1955 Topps Sandy Koufax rookie (PSA 8), Stellar NM/MT PSA 8 Ted Williams cards from the 1951 Bowman, 1954 Topps (#250) and the 1955 Topps sets, and a spectacular 1960 Topps Presentation set that is seeing the light of day for the first time since 1960 and which was originally “presented” to baseball legend Jerome “Dizzy” Dean!
As always, SportsCardLink happily accepts credit cards from bidders, making it easy to bid on more items — or higher — than they otherwise would with another auction company. We are also offering bidders the opportunity to pay with time payments and consign cards to our next auction to subsidize their purchases in this one. This is a “win-win”, as on the other side of the same coin, we have seen that our flexibility results in happier seller, when they receive more bids on their consigned cards. Additionally, SportsCardLink has a strict policy that discourages shill bidding and which acts to prevent conflicts of interest. What this means is that bidders can rest assured that the bidding process is fair to all. Sellers are unable to place bids on their own lots via the SportsCardLink web site, and no SportsCardLink owner or employee may compete with our auction bidders.
