Noted sports ticket expert Al Glaser of California has joined Professional Sports Authenticator (www.PSAcard.com) as a full-time Ticket Authenticator. “With Al joining us on a full-time basis we’ll be able to take ticket authentication services to a new level,” said Joe Orlando, President of PSA, a division of Collectors Universe, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLCT). Glaser has been actively involved with sporting events tickets for the past 15 years.
“One of my first goals at PSA is greatly reducing the turnaround time on submissions. I’ll also be looking at new programs such as expansion and improvements in the tickets set registry,” said Glaser.
“The hobby market for sports tickets is increasing and developing. We may see even more card collectors enjoying this area. Each ticket represents an actual, historic event that took place and has significance for sports fans. Tickets were meant to be used, so often times a high-quality example with attached stub is rare.”
Glaser replaces Lenny Steren as PSA Ticket Authenticator. “Lenny did an absolutely wonderful job for PSA, for collectors and for dealers; but he was only available on a part-time basis. Al now will be with us full-time and that will mean shorter turnaround times on submissions,” Orlando explained.
PSA accepts submissions for authentication and grading of full tickets and stubs, both vintage and modern, for all of the world’s top sporting events. Certified tickets are then encapsulated in PSA’s custom-designed, tamper-evident holders.
