A rare 1910 E90-2 American Caramel Honus Wagner card paced a strong vintage baseball auction from Clean Sweep Auctions that closed June 10, 2026, realizing $50,032.20 including buyer’s premium. Graded PSA 2, the early caramel issue drew aggressive bidding from collectors seeking one of the hobby’s most desirable pre-war Wagner cards. Despite its modest technical grade, the card’s rarity and significance helped it comfortably surpass every other lot in the sale.
The second-highest result belonged to a 1948 Leaf Satchel Paige rookie card graded PSA Authentic, which sold for $29,890. One of the most iconic post-war baseball cards ever produced, Paige’s rookie remains a cornerstone for collectors of both Hall of Fame rookies and Negro League history. The auction also featured strong performances from cards of Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Ty Cobb, Joe Jackson, Ted Williams, and Yogi Berra, showcasing continued demand for elite vintage baseball material spanning multiple eras.
Collectors demonstrated particular enthusiasm for pre-war rarities, with numerous scarce issues from the early 1900s generating five-figure results. Honus Wagner appeared multiple times among the auction leaders, while Ty Cobb and Joe Jackson were also well represented throughout the top-selling lots.
